MERIT Library offers multiple printing options, from standard B&W printing and color printing, to poster printing and lamination.
Printing services are available to:
- UW–Madison faculty, staff, and students
- UW System faculty and staff
- Pre-K-12 community
- Guests of the UW–Madison School of Education
Payment Options
Individuals can pay for printing at InfoLabs and most libraries with funds that have been deposited in their Wiscard account.
If you are guest on-campus and do not have a UW–Madison ID, you can purchase a guest card on the second floor of Memorial Library. Guest cards must be purchased with cash.
Standard Printing
Standard black & white and color printing are available at MERIT Library.
To print using a Wiscard-based account, you login to the print release station with your NetID. More information about these accounts, including how to add money to your accounts is on the Printing on Campus Web page.

PAPER TYPES
Multiple paper types are also available for color printing including:
- standard 8×11
- standard 11×17
- glossy 8×11
- glossy 11×17
- 8×11 cardstock
COST
- Black & white – $0.07 per page
- Color – $0.60 per page
- MERIT accepts Wiscard for all printing and laminating services.
Poster Printing
Large-format poster printing is available at MERIT Library. Conference posters, signage, promotional posters, and more can be printed using the large-format poster printer in MERIT Library for a reasonable price.

RESTRICTIONS
- Poster printing ends one hour before the Library closes
- Files must be properly sized in PDF format
- One dimension of printed poster must be under 41″
- During certain times of the year, the poster printer may be very busy. Please prepare accordingly.
COST
- $4 per square foot
- MERIT accepts Wiscard, Department Card, and Print Card for all printing and laminating services.
- MERIT sells cardboard poster tubes (42″ long, 3″ diameter) that can be purchased for $3.10
Laminating
Lamination is available at MERIT Library. Library staff is available to assist with the lamination process during library hours.
