Education Academic Services (EAS) is the undergraduate student affairs office for the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. We work with current and prospective School of Education students in all programs.
All undergraduate students in the School of Education are served by three offices devoted to academic or career advising— Education Advising (EAS), Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Retention (OURR), and the Career Center.
Academic Advising
We help students with their academic and career goals, course selection, and program admission, explore their academic interests and strengths, and find learning and support resources.
Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Retention (OURR)
OURR is a focal point for the personal and professional development of students of color in the School of Education.
Career Center
The Career Center is committed to supporting the lifelong career development and success of the School of Education students and alumni. The Center works with employers, UW faculty and staff, families, and other community partners toward that goal.
Academic Dean's Office
Education Academic Services (EAS) is the undergraduate dean’s office for students in the School of Education. Staff members interpret school regulations, policies, and program requirements; take exceptions around requirements and deadlines; advise current and prospective students; monitor students having academic difficulties; facilitate the program admissions process; and maintain the official files of students in the school.
Additional Services

Admissions
EAS staff collect application materials, analyze applicant records, and admit individuals to School of Education programs based on criteria established by program faculty.

Requirements Monitoring
EAS staff monitor completion of specific program requirements and share general degree audit responsibilities with the Registrar's Office.

Licensing
EAS staff process students' initial teaching license applications.
