Proposing New Memoranda of Understanding
Institutional Agreements, specifically Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) documents, are one way to forge collaborations between faculty, departments/units, and schools/colleges with external partners. This document provides an overview of when a Memorandum of Understanding should be put forward, and the necessary steps to ensure the MOU is compliant with UW-Madison policy and School of Education procedures.
As required by UW-Madison policy, all international MOUs must be vetted through the International Division and can only be signed by the Vice Provost and Dean of the International Division, by the Provost, or by the Chancellor. For most department/unit-level and school-level agreements, they will be signed by the Vice Provost and Dean of the International Division.
If you are interested in proposing a new MOU, please contact global@education.wisc.edu.
